2025 Season Registration Now Open!
ABOUT US
Greely Softball offers softball for youth aged 4 to 19 for both boys and girls.
Blastball and 5-pitch usually play at the Greely West field. Every effort is made to make the night consistent, one night each week. However if registration is high at these levels you may have to play on multiple nights through the week (Monday - Thursday).
Mites and up play in multiple locations from Sunday through Thursday. As we are part of the Rural Ottawa Softball Association, the schedules are made closer to the beginning of the season and all teams have an equal number of home and away games. The season runs from the beginning of May to the end of June for Blastball and 5-pitch. The year end tournament for all levels will be one weekend in July which will be announced at the beginning of the season and which you are expected to attend all games.
All teams receive a shirt and team photo.
There is also a $50 tournament deposit that must be paid for Mites and up that is refunded if the player participates in the ENTIRE tournament.
This means attending all games in the tournament gets you a $50 refund at the end of the season.

Note: Once we have a group of people willing to volunteer, a list will be sent to all volunteers with additional contact information
ROSA - Rural Ottawa Softball Association
Greely’s teams play other associations under the Rural Ottawa Softball Association or ROSA. These include ROMSA, Gloucester, Vars, Munster, Kemptville and Kenmore. Communication with the association for this season are being set up now!
Sponsors Needed
This year as always Greely Softball welcomes team sponsorships. A team can be sponsored by your company for $250.
The sponsor will receive a T-shirt with the company name (same as what the team players will get) and will also receive a team picture and a thank you trophy. Even at these early days, we already have one sponsorship pledged.
If you or your company is interested, please send an email to Rhea Higginson, our treasurer, at rhigginson@rogers.com. Please be sure to include the child’s name and playing level. Alternatively, you can use the registration form and she will contact you for more information.
Registration Status
Softball registration is open for the 2025 season! Please see the registration page for more information.
It is Important to note that trying to register at the end of April is very often too late. Decisions about insurance, field rentals, t-shirts, ball equipment, coaches and schedules have to be in place by April 10 or earlier. Please register early and keep this in mind.
Parents who register their children should be prepared to volunteer for something.
Umpires Wanted for 2024
The games cannot be played without the use of umpires. To that end if any of your children, ages 12 and older wish to umpire this year please indicate on your registration OR send an email to vic.wootton@rogers.com and ask to include your son/daughter as an umpire for 2025.
They will be required to attend a 1 day clinic in order to be certified. Any cost related to the training course must be paid by the player. The rule of thumb is that they will be required to umpire levels either equal to their age or younger (some exceptions could happen) They must be at least 12 years of age.
Greely Softball will pay them for the games they umpire. How much umpiring they do is dependent as to how many teams we have playing in Greely and how many umpires we have available.
